A Fond Farewell

Recommended Posts

I have been playing this game since launch.  Played GW1 a crap ton as well.   Needless to say,  I've spent a lot of my life in Tyria.    Having played since launch,  I saw TTS grow when Tequatl got revamped over 3 years ago.   Didn't decide to join into leadership until around 2 years ago.   I came in with the purpose of defeating world bosses that I so loved to do.

As HoT came out and leaders came in and out left and right,  I stayed for this community over the past 2 years despite having been done with the game for quite some time.    Last year, when DLS hit and I was unable to play the game when TTS ran events, I had two choices.  1 was to quit and say farewell.  The other was to run bosses when I could attend and try to grow a community out of it.

I am proud to see what PAC has become over the past year.   We have many wonderful commanders and community members stepping up day in and day out.   I have met many friends here over the past year.  Some that I hold deeply in my heart.

Unfortunately,  since late July I started showing symptoms of depression.   Last weekend they hit rock bottom.   And unfortunately,  things only got worse the past 24 hours.    For me to ever heal from this,  I have to say my goodbyes and leave.   I tried fighting it off, but I lost, and for me to ever recover, I need the space.

I will cherish these moments for the rest of my life.  I don't want to leave, but it's unfortunately for the best.   PAC is still in good hands without me.   Thank you to all the wonderful people I have met and provided me with the opportunity to be your CO and help PAC thrive.   I say, with a broken heart, goodbye to you all.

Raven, me and you would always disagree with a lot of things, but the one thing I will agree with is the fact your commitment to the community was absolute. Not only did you lead EU while it was still alive by yourself with a few other leader/commanders, but day in and day out, you have put yourself for the community, and helped grow what PAC is today. You are truly a great leader.

I thank you for all your hard work over the last 2 years, and I hope that you can come back when you are ready.
